Creation is Messy’s color, Maple, is a transparent brown.
I love it since there really isn’t a great transparent brown in the glass 104 coe palette.

Photo shows it with Effetre’s Dark and Medium Topaz, which at first glance, rods of Maple may look like. But as you see it is a brown and the others are more orange/amber color.

Works a bit stiff but not too bad. Etches well also.
Love it!

CIM Sepia

Ok now really, I’ve said it 1,000 times, CIM brings it!

I love this color (yep I’ve said that too enough), but this color just screams “COOL!”. It’s great alone, love it etched, and great to use as an encasing color.

This is a fab transparent light brown (hence the name).

Photo above, 1st bead over white, 2nd color alone, 3rd etched, 4th with silver leaf.

**It does color shift a little bit in different lighting, but not too much, in sunlight there’s a little more lavender hue to it…see below photo.

Ok, who doesn’t need a perfect tan in their palette??

A great neutral, another ‘must have’ color.

Ok, since I can’t get time to edit photos of new colors we’ll go back to oldies but goodies. We’ll go with browns since it’s almost fall *pout*

Look at the color range! woooo!! Really in my opinion there’s no ‘trick’ to getting these colors. Beads above were on a HH so maybe more propane rich flame and batch (see note below) play a part in color range(s).

Gorgeous color! You really never know what color you’ll get, and that’s
part of it’s charm for me.

~Plays well with silver foil or leaf, and silver rich glasses.

There are some differences, some rods are lighter and not much color to them other than ‘tan/brown’..which is ok if you want that!

But I’ve found the best color comes from the rods that are a bit darker and have a lot of rings when you look at the end.

..No matter what the rod, seems once it goes ‘tan/brown/coffee latte color’ it stays that way.

***Note! I’ve seen some say that the newer batches produce more colors, I’ll have to disagree since the photo above IS from the early batch, possibly the first batch made.

Creation is messy glass - Mojito -

This is a new color available as of August ‘09 so I’m deviating from the older colors to get these new ones posted since they’re fab.

Mojito..how I love thee…

It is a calm grey-green, just a fantastic color. As soon as I saw it I couldn’t wait to etch it, and to my surprise, it’s sparkly etched ?!
You can sorta see it in the tab bead..the ‘white dots’ are sparkles, I’ve personally never seen a glass do that, I have to etch more, I’m thinking not a fluke? I hope not, it’s too cool!!

Creation is Messy Glass - Creamsicle

Creamsicle, the name fits..a great orange that I’m glad to have access to a great orange that will be consistant as opposed to other manufacturers MANY shades of orange / coral.

It’s an orange much like Effetre’s Mango or Tequila sunrise.

Etches well, not shocky… but I believe it color shifts a little, brighter in sun and flourescent lighting and a little paler in incandescent. Will update the post in a day or 2..with photos if that is the case.

Beads 1 – 5

Brought to clear, restruck to a light orange. *3 is etched.

(This works all the way to translucent)

Translucent & etched

I love this orange! So many hues out of it.

Doesn’t devit or boil, not shocky,

Etches great.

A translucent, almost opaque when worked “normal”, shown in 2 beads on the right. With clear it would be transparent, it is a saturated color.

I found when I tried to boil it, it wouldn’t, it went to clear…let it cool a bit and strike and you get hues of light orange all the way back to translucent.

Creation is Messy Phoenix Glass

If you’ve ever used ‘effetre’s ‘ ‘Powder Pink’, this color is like that but yellow-tan/orange hues

The more (or less) you strike, it goes through the color phases mentioned above.

First the tan, strike more and it will go orange.

~ Not shocky, very fun to use and play with the color changes

Lipstick - Creation is Messy Glass

Lipstick is an opaque brick red that does color shift depending on lighting from red to brown. In full spectrum lighting it’s brighter red, incandescent a red, flourescent it’s brown.

Bit of a saturated red, gorgeous true red color, but I found if you want a more transparent red you have to use it with clear, or white.
